2 Bangladeshi youths shot dead by Indian BSF

Two Bangladeshis were shot and killed by the Indian Border Security Force (BSF) today as they allegedly tried to cross into India near Tetulia upazila in Panchagarh.

The deceased have been identified as 23-year-old Yeasin Ali, son of Ketab Ali, and 24-year-old Abdul Jalil, son of Jhunu Miah, both hailing from Sadar upazila in the district.
Reports from local sources indicate that the incident took place early in the morning in the Khoykhat area near the border. It is alleged that the youths were trying to smuggle cattle from India when BSF personnel stationed at the Fakirpara camp opened fire upon noticing them cutting through a barbed wire fence.
Upon discovering the situation, local residents promptly notified the Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) and the police.
