Imran Khan's wife Bushra Bibi indicted in graft case

Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Imran Khan and his wife Bushra Bibi have been formally indicted in a £190 million graft case filed by the National Accountability Bureau (NAB).

The indictment took place during a hearing at the Adiala Jail accountability court on Tuesday. The presiding judge Nasir Javed Rana announced the indictment and called for five witnesses to testify in the next hearing scheduled for March 6.
Both Imran Khan and Bushra Bibi have vehemently denied the charges brought against them.
The National Accountability Bureau alleges that Imran Khan and his wife acquired significant amounts of money and land, measuring hundreds of kanals, from Malik Riaz of Bahria Town. This purported exchange is said to be in connection with a settlement of Rs 50 billion paid to the National Crime Agency (NCA) of the UK. The funds were reportedly adjusted as part of a fine imposed on Malik Riaz by the Supreme Court.
