Saudi Arabia to invest $1T in US: Crown prince Salman

Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman announced on Tuesday that Saudi Arabia intends to boost its investments in the United States from the current 600 billion us dollar to nearly $1 trillion, marking one of the largest prospective foreign investment expansions by the kingdom to date.

Speaking alongside US President Donald Trump at the White House, the crown prince said Riyadh is preparing to formalize a series of major agreements across technology, artificial intelligence, advanced manufacturing and other high-growth sectors. He said the deals would 'create significant investment opportunities' and help accelerate economic transformation under Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030 plan.
'I believe, Mr. President, today and tomorrow we can announce that we are going to increase that $600 billion to almost $1 trillion for real investment,' he told reporters. Trump, reacting immediately, asked whether the figure was firm. 'Definitely, because what we are signing will facilitate that,' the crown prince responded.
Trump thanked him, calling the commitment a 'tremendous boost' for the US economy and suggesting the amount could rise even further. He described the relationship between Riyadh and Washington as stronger than ever, highlighting the agreements as evidence of deepening strategic ties.
Saudi Ambassador to the United States Princess Reema bint Bandar Al-Saud welcomed the meeting, calling it a major milestone for bilateral relations. In a message posted on X, she said the newly signed deals—details of which were not immediately disclosed—would stimulate investment in both countries, create jobs for American and Saudi workers, and reinforce cooperation on regional and global security.
