pakistan's Khan directs PTI to prepare for major nationwide movement

Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) founder Imran Khan has instructed the party to prepare for a major countrywide movement against the incumbent government.
Delivering his message through his sister, Aleema Khan, who spoke to the media on Monday, the former prime minister made it clear that the movement would not center around Islamabad alone but would be launched nationwide.
"Imran Khan has directed that preparations begin for a mass movement throughout Pakistan," Aleema stated, quoting her brother. "He will not summon people to the capital, but the movement will spread across the country."
Speaking to reporters outside the prison, Aleema emphasized her brother's determination to resist what he sees as systemic injustice and mistreatment. "He has said that no matter the level of oppression or abuse, he will never accept defeat or submit to pressure," she said.
Aleema also raised concerns about the conditions her brother is facing in prison. Despite serving as a former head of government, she claimed that Imran Khan is being denied even the basic rights granted to other inmates.
"In eight months, he's only been allowed one short conversation with his children, and his sisters have not been allowed to visit him," she revealed. Furthermore, jail officials have reportedly blocked efforts to send him books and have refused access to his personal physicians.
Imran Khan's message, conveyed by Aleema, was firm: “Regardless of how much they try to break me, I will never surrender to oppression.”
Aleema also claimed that the imprisonment of Imran Khan’s wife, Bushra Bibi, is part of a broader strategy to exert psychological pressure on him, adding to what she described as ongoing efforts to isolate and silence him.
