Pakistani ranger apprehended by BSF at Rajasthan border

A member of the Pakistan Rangers was apprehended by India’s Border Security Force (BSF) on Saturday morning after allegedly crossing the international border near Sriganganagar, Rajasthan.

According to Indian officials, the individual was found on the Indian side of the border fence near Raisinghnagar and taken into custody by BSF personnel. Reports suggest the captured ranger hails from Bahawalpur and was deployed in the Bahawalnagar region of Pakistan.
Following the arrest, the BSF heightened security measures along the border, maintaining a high state of alert in anticipation of any further developments from the Pakistani side. The apprehended individual is currently being interrogated by Indian authorities.
This incident comes shortly after Pakistan detained BSF soldier PK Singh from the 24th Battalion, who was stationed near the international border in Amritsar, Punjab, approximately ten days earlier. Despite multiple flag meetings between the two border forces, the Indian soldier has not yet been returned.
