Explosions heard, drone wreckage recovered in northeast Pakistan

Authorities in Pakistan have recovered the remains of a drone in Punjab's Chakwal district, following reports of three loud explosions in the area, Geo News reported on Thursday.

According to the report, the wreckage was discovered in Chakwal’s Dhman locality, based on information from police sources. No injuries or fatalities were reported, and a formal investigation has been initiated to determine the cause of the incident.
Residents in Lahore, the provincial capital, also reported hearing at least three explosions near the city's airport.
In response to the escalating situation, Pakistan temporarily closed its airspace to commercial air traffic on Thursday morning, the country’s civil aviation authority confirmed.
Tensions have intensified between Pakistan and India after recent Indian airstrikes targeted multiple locations across Pakistan and the region of Pakistan-administered Kashmir. These strikes reportedly resulted in 31 deaths and left 57 people injured.
Pakistan responded by claiming to have shot down five Indian fighter jets and a combat drone. Among the aircraft brought down, according to Islamabad, were three French-manufactured Rafale jets.
New Delhi was yet to officially react to Islamabad's statement on the downing of the Indian aircraft.
