Pakistani army chief rejects allegations of external aid in recent India conflict

Pakistan's military chief General Asim Munir slammed "insinuations" regarding "external support" during the recent conflict with India, after an Indian general said the country had more than more than one adversary in the fighting.

His remarks, delivered on Monday to graduating officers of the National Security and War Course at National Defense University in Islamabad, directly address claims made by an Indian general regarding external involvement in the fighting.
"Insinuations regarding external support in Pakistan’s successful Operation Bunyanum Marsoos are irresponsible and factually incorrect," stated General Munir, according to an official statement released by the military's media wing. He further emphasized that such accusations "reflect a chronic reluctance to acknowledge indigenous capability and institutional resilience developed over decades of strategic prudence."
These forceful comments come in response to claims made last week by India's Deputy Chief of Army Staff, Lt. Gen. Rahul Singh. Singh had publicly asserted that China provided "live inputs" to Islamabad during the four-day conflict in May, when the two South Asian nuclear powers exchanged missile fire across their shared border. The hostilities ultimately concluded with a ceasefire brokered by the United States.
Lt. Gen. Singh, speaking at a seminar, characterized New Delhi's engagement in the conflict as a struggle against "two adversaries," with Pakistan being the "front face" while China offered "all possible support."
