US Intelligence suggests Israel preparing strike on Iran's nuclear facilities

Fresh US intelligence indicates that Israel may be actively preparing for a possible attack on Iranian nuclear facilities, according to a CNN report citing several American officials familiar with the matter.

While it's unclear if Israel's leadership has made a definitive decision, the report notes internal debate within the US administration over whether Israel will follow through with a strike.
A source familiar with the intelligence assessments told CNN that the probability of Israeli military action against Iran’s nuclear infrastructure has increased notably in recent months. The source suggested that the likelihood of a strike could rise further if Washington secures a nuclear agreement with Tehran that does not require the removal of Iran’s enriched uranium stockpile.
The Trump administration is currently involved in diplomatic negotiations with Iran in hopes of reaching a new accord regarding its nuclear activities.
The intelligence cited by US officials reportedly includes both public and private statements by senior Israeli figures, as well as intercepted communications and observable military activity pointing to potential operational readiness. This includes the movement of aerial weaponry and the recent completion of a military air exercise, according to CNN.
On the same day the report emerged, Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei rejected US demands for a complete halt to uranium enrichment, calling them “excessive and outrageous” in remarks carried by Iranian state media. He also expressed skepticism about the prospects of a successful outcome in ongoing nuclear negotiations.
