China urges its citizens to leave Israel ‘as soon as possible'

China has advised its citizens to leave Israel immediately as the conflict between Israel and Iran continues to escalate, according to Chinese state media reports on Tuesday.
The Chinese Embassy in Tel Aviv issued a notice urging Chinese nationals in Israel to depart 'as soon as possible,' preferably through land border crossings, while prioritising their personal safety, the Global Times reported. The embassy specifically recommended Jordan as the primary route for evacuation.
Tensions in the region have sharply intensified since Friday, when Israeli forces launched airstrikes on several locations in Iran, including military and nuclear-related sites. In retaliation, Iran carried out missile strikes on Israeli targets.
Israeli authorities have reported at least 24 deaths and hundreds of injuries resulting from Iranian missile attacks. On the other hand, Iranian officials claimed that Israeli strikes have killed at least 224 people and wounded over 1,000.
Beijing has strongly criticised Israel for its military actions against Iran, warning that an escalation of hostilities would primarily endanger countries in the Middle East.
Meanwhile, India has also taken steps to safeguard its citizens in the region. On Tuesday, the Indian Embassy in Tehran issued an advisory urging Indian nationals and persons of Indian origin (PIOs) in the Iranian capital to relocate to safer areas outside the city.
The Indian Ministry of External Affairs confirmed that Indian students have been evacuated from Tehran, with some citizens already facilitated to exit Iran via its border with Armenia.
Additionally, US President Donald Trump called on civilians to leave Tehran 'immediately' as tensions between Israel and Iran showed no signs of easing.
