Iran accuses US, Israel of 'atrocious terrorist act' in letter to UN
Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi on Sunday formally accused the US and Israel of carrying out a “cowardly act of terror” targeting Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei.
In a letter addressed to UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres and members of the Security Council, Araghchi said the US and Israel deliberately targeted Khamenei on Feb. 28 in “unprovoked and unjustified acts of aggression” against Iran’s sovereignty.
