Iran denies attack on Oman, calls Gulf state ‘friend'
Iran on Tuesday denied reports that it carried out a military attack on Oman, describing the Gulf state as a “friend and neighbor.”
Iran’s Armed Forces General Staff said that there had been no military strike on Omani territory, rejecting reports suggesting otherwise, according to the state-run Press TV. The denial came after the Oman News Agency reported Tuesday that two drones were intercepted in the Dhofar Governorate in southern Oman, while a third crashed near Salalah Port.
